Prof. (FH) Mona Dür, PhD, MSc
Mona Dür completed her studies at the Academy for Occupational Therapy in Vienna, the European Master of Occupational Therapy in Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and England, and her PhD programme at the Medical University of Vienna. She has been working as a scientist for more than 15 years. She worked from 2005 to 2019 at the Medical University of Vienna as a research associate and principal investigator and gained her practical experience in paediatrics, rheumatology, and health promotion. Additionally, from 2014 to 2022 she has been a lecturer and researcher at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems. From 2017 to 2018 she developed and from 2018 to 2021 she led the master’s degree programme of Applied Health Sciences. She has founded the Austrian Association of Occupational Science [AOS] in 2020 and is the president since 2021. Mona Dür has led several research projects and is author of numerous articles published in high impact journals. Since 2021 she is also academic staff at the European Master Degree Programme Occupational Therapy led by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. In 2022 she founded Duervation GmbH. Since then, she is the CEO of Duervation GmbH.

Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Birgit Fendl
Birgit Fendl completed her bachelor’s degree in food science and biotechnology followed by a master’s degree in biotechnology with medical focus at the University for Natural Resources and Life Sciences. During her PhD in biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, she conducted her research in the field of sepsis at the Centre for Biomedical Technology at Danube University Krems. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Oncology at the Medical University of Vienna, she focused on personalized immunotherapy. In May 2023, she joined the scientific team at Duervation.

Cornelia Lischka, BSc MSc
Cornelia Lischka completed her bachelor studies Occupational Therapy at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt and has been working as an occupational therapist at the rehabilitation centre Tobelbad and at the Lorenz Böhler hospital in Vienna. In 2022 she finished her master studies Health Assisting Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Wien. She works as a freelance occupational therapist in Vienna and since 2023 she is scientific employee at Duervation GmbH.

Luisa Krammerstorfer, BA
Luisa Krammerstorfer completed her bachelor studies Business Administration for the Public Health Sector at the IMC Fachhochschule Krems an der Donau in 2020. She was employed as a trainee for strategic controlling at the Niederösterreichische Landesgesundheitsagentur in 2018. Since 2019 she works as an accounting employee at the Niederösterreichische Landesgesundheitsagentur. Since 2023 she additionally works as an assistant to the management for Duervation GmbH.

Anna Schnelzer, MSc, BSc (WU)
Anna Schnelzer completed her bachelor’s degree in economics and social sciences with a focus on business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. In 2017, she worked at the Austrian Airlines in the procurement department. From 2018 to 2021, she was employed at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems in the field of marketing and public relations and managed various projects in the field of science communication in terms of content. To deepen her knowledge, she studied part-time at the Technical University of Berlin for a master’s degree in “Science Marketing”, which she completed in 2021. 2022 she was employed at the nexus Institute for Cooperation Management and Interdisciplinary Research in the field of science communication and project management. Currently she is working for the Business Circle in Vienna as conference manager with focus on health and tendering. She has been supporting Duervation in marketing and communication on a voluntary basis ever since.

Michael Schön, MSc
Michael Schön successfully completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialisation in Rehabilitation Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien in 2020. He continued his academic career and obtained a Master’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation Engineering in 2022. Then he worked as a project manager for a software company specialising in innovation support. He has now been employed as a research assistant at Duervation since 2023.

Priv.-Doz. Mag. Dr. phil. Wolfgang Josef Dür
Wolfgang Dür studied philosophy and sociology at the University of Vienna and was habilitated for the entire subject of sociology there. Since 1987 he has taught mainly at the University of Vienna, but also at the University of Innsbruck, at the Medical Universities of Vienna, Graz, and Innsbruck, at the Danube Private University Krems and at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems. He was a senior researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for the Sociology of Health and Medicine and director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute Health Promotion Research (both in Vienna). He is now scientific director of the Vienna Institute for Health Promotion Research. For many years he was on the steering committee of the international study “Health Behaviour in Schoolaged Children (HBSC)” and an advisor to the Centre for Health Promotion at the National University of Ireland Galway as well as an advisor to WHO, OECD, and national ministries. For many years he was executive director of the Austrian Society for the Sociology of Health and Medicine and on the executive board of the Austrian Society for Public Health. His professional specialisations are in the fields of organisational sociology, medical and health sociology, public health, sociological systems theory, and social theory. He has led over 50 research projects with basic science and applied science contents. He has published 5 books as an author and editor and over 120 articles in scientific journals and books as well as policy papers (h = 26, i10 = 45; citations = 5,700).
